Montessori Academy serves families with children 18 months of age through 8th grade.
Montessori Academy developed lifelong learners before the phrase became popular in educational circles. It is the only school in Middle Tennessee that holds dual accreditation with the American Montessori Society (AMS) and AdvancEd (see links below for more information about our re-accreditation). The rigorous standards set by both accrediting organizations keep the focus on a commitment to academic excellence and continuous improvement.
This unique, diverse community offers an unexpected and astonishing alternative to traditional education in the Middle Tennessee area. We invite you to come, tour, and learn about this caring community of academic excellence as the first step in the admission process. Please contact Mrs. Cathi Prather or call 615-833-3610 to schedule a tour today!

AMS Conference 2013
We are thrilled that 17 of our teachers and administrators are attending the annual AMS (American Montessori Society) conference in Orlando this month. The conference brings
thousands of Montessorians together each year, and provides an opportunity to share new ideas for developing a passion for education in all students. This year the theme is "Sustaining the Light in Every Child".
This year, MA parent Ruth Smith started the AMS Scholarship Program, with the intention to raise money to send our wonderful teachers to conference. This program has been a tremendous success and is the reason so many can attend the conference. We hope to continue the Scholarship Program for years to come - so that we may continue sending as many teachers as possible. We cannot wait until the teachers return to hear about their experiences!!
