Admissions
Montessori Academy is a not-for-profit, school that practices a non-discriminatory policy and accepts qualified students without regard to race, color and national origin. Montessori Academy endeavors to bring together students who have the aptitude to flourish in our programs.
Admission procedures are meant to help students, parents and faculty to work together in determining if Montessori Academy is an appropriate school for them. We use the application, student interview, parent meetings, teacher recommendations, transcripts and testing results to determine whether a student is offered admission to the school.
The Primary School candidate must be three years of age by September 1st to enter as a Primary student. The Kindergarten candidate must be five years of age by September 1st to enter Kindergarten. Teacher recommendation for Kindergarten readiness is taken into consideration.
The Elementary School candidate (age 6-14), will be interviewed and then invited to spend two days in the classroom before being accepted as a student.
Student applications are accepted year round, with a non-refundable application fee of $100. Upon acceptance, a non-refundable registration fee of $250 reserves your child's place in the school. Tuition ranges from $6750 (for half-day pre-kindergarteners) to $8550 and can be paid annually or prorated over 9 or 10 months. There is a 2% discount for tuition paid in full by August 1st. There are also sibling discounts.
In addition to tuition, we have a Parent Involvement Program. Parents must agree to perform 20 hours of service at the school or pay a tax deductible donation of $200.
After Care programs are available for additional charge.
We will be happy to answer questions and arrange a time for you to tour the school. Small group tours may be available. You can see the school in session, and we can address questions about our curriculum and philosophy. |
